This video in the series “Unstill picture(s)” is the first part of a triptych dedicated to the habitat, “Ethology?” is a static shot on a cheap modern flat building. 24 hours photographic sequences, the recording made appear the variations of lights on the poverty of this architecture. The verticality of the picture in this video creates a kind of window of observation; the very slow movement and the “negative” effect reinforce the distancing of the subject. Parallel with the dissolve of the pictures, two voices quote comments by researchers on the quest for habitat by a species of ants.
