Albert Merino was born in 1979 in Barcelona. He began his Art studies in the University of Fine Arts from Barcelona, where he graduated in 2002 in the speciality of painting. The same year he began his studies for Diplom in Freie kunst at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, where he obtain Diplom in 2004 and Meisterschule in 2005 mentored by the sculptor Inge Mahn and Dramaturg Roland Schimmelpfennig. He developed his work between the cites of Berlin, Barcelona or Paris; his work has been show in several exhibitions around Europe, America and the Middle East His work, which covers several genres, show a deconstruction of the reality that involves us in an intimate and surreal universe that sometimes verge on the absurd or ironic.
