Mauricio Sáenz (Matamoros, Mexico 1977) is an emerging visual artist who portrays social themes with their respective questionings, such as language as a means of miscommunication, covering fields as installation, video art, and painting. His work has been displayed in venues such as El Paso Museum of Art in the United States and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Yucatán in Mexico. He graduated from the University of Texas in the U.S. and has a masters degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
