GAETE C., MIGUEL ÁNGEL
Visual artist, born in 1983 in the city of Santiago de Chile. Professor of Art at the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences (UMCE). He has been assistant professor in the chairs of history and art theory at various universities in Chile. Since 2003 he has participated in numerous exhibitions and shows in his country of origin (Chile) and internationally, receiving numerous awards. Among the exhibitions held in Chile are "N200 Who will emerge and who cure?" (Exposure framed within the activities of the last Triennial Santiago), the "XIV Chilean International Short Film Festival of Santiago, the exhibition generational" Chile Channel: the new Chilean TV and the exhibition of young talent MAVI 2006, and received awards in the fields of art theory and new media. In the international context, has participated in exhibitions in Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, United States, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, among others. Since 2008 lives and works in the city of Barcelona where he finished a Masters in Advanced Studies in Art History at the University of Barcelona, in order to complement the theoretical activity with artistic practice.
