The company’s revolutionary concept was to manufacture and distribute three dimensional, industrially produced art works in limited editions called “Multiples”. Each was numbered and signed by the artist. The acclaimed collection included creations by internationally renowned artists such as Max Bill, Richard Hamilton, Allen Jones, Joe Tilson, Peter Phillips and others. 1973 the company was dissolved. In 2009 Patrick Wilen resurrected xartcollection. Today it is a web-based art agency which specializes itself in selling Multiple Art. The company appeals primarily to architects, interior decorators, designers and art buyers, offering a selection of multiplied art works particularly suited for large projects such as casinos, hotels, corporate offices, conference rooms and municipal buildings.
