IDN is an international festival that draws attention to the creation of dance produced in close collaboration with the audiovisual and digital tools for handling and direct interaction.The festival reflects the experience accumulated over 20 years of Mostra VideoDansa but betting on a new project that introduces the scene as a space of coexistence between real and virtual. Dance shows where the projected images are manipulated live by the interpreter provide new narratives and turn the stage into a space suitable for the mixing of genres and languages.All performances presented at IDN Barcelona are premieres chosen for their quality and innovative research along with the ability to connect to a wide and open to experimentation audience. The festival hosts the International Competition Prize VideoDansa of Barcelona that allows fans of the genre to discover the latest trends in audiovisual production with the body and movement as subjects, and releases the three new Catalan productions winners of the Project VideoDansa Contest.An international seminar and presentation of the works realized in the different Laboratories that NU2's organizes during the year, are the other activities of the festival.The festival is an initiative IDN NU2's and is organized in co-production with the Mercat de les Flors. With the help of the Department of Culture and Media of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the ICUB / Ajuntament de Barcelona.The festival has selected "Dcandanze" of Pixel in Fact, and "Lluny" of Damako.
